Dryer Vent Cleaning:  There are four important areas to clean for a thorough service. First, I pull the dryer out and vacuum the dust and lint build up behind the dryer and walls.  Second, I will remove the flex duct located behind the dryer, insuring it is clean of lint, and a high temperature metal duct  is properly clamped to the wall, as well as the dryer. Third, I will use a form of agitation, a 4'' brush and flexable poles that will form agitation to the surface of the vent removing the lint from exit to entry (as demonstrated above).I have a variety of brushes - most common is the 4" brush.I have 3", 4", 6" and 8" brushes to get the job done. Fourth, I also finish up with insuring the damper exit point opens and closes to prevent entry of bugs, rodents, birds and debris. So by cleaning these four key areas you'll save money on utilities and dry clothes in one cycle, as well as keeping your family and home safe. A complete thorough service is recommended once a year.
